When there is need for file editing, users could either edit their files locally and then upload them on the cluster, or they can edit them directly on the cluster.
In the latter case, one of the simple text editors such as nano or pico could be used. Alternatively, when more capabilities are required more powerful editors such as vim or emacs can be used.
